Northern Monk vs Funky Fluid: Patrons Project 29.02 – Roseus Fruited Milkshake IPA (440ml)

For the second instalment of Rob C’s fruited IPA series we’ve enlisted Polish renegades of funk, Funky Fluid, and after discussing our mutual favourite fruited IPAs, we’ve again gone for a medley of tart berries and stone fruits. Starting with a single-hop IPA base using Mosaic in the whirlpool for its blueberry bubblegum aromas, we went heavy on the fruit – over 200g of it per litre, jam-packed with blackcurrants for big punchy bramble character, backed up with tart and tannic plum, and finally a lingering bite of sour cherry on the finish – all added post-fermentation to keep the fruit tasting fresh and juicy.
