Polly’s Brew Co: Discodelica IPA (440ml)

Ah the kitchen disco – where dubious playlists are formed, even more dubious topics are chatted about and where everyone hangs loose enjoying the kaleidoscope of company that finds its way in and out.

Wanting to pay homage to the humble kitchen discos and afters that have peppered themselves through our lives here at Polly’s, we threw some ideas around ideas around a creative meeting and Discodelica was born from it.

Citra leads the way on this beer as the merry pied piper bringing everyone together – bright and punchy citrus notes setting the base for things to come. Mosaic hijacks the speaker as the kooky art-school type, with complex blueberry, bubblegum, spice and tropical notes that live up to its name perfectly, before the brash Australian Enigma takes over with some club bangers of white grape, melon and redcurrant, before a final flourish from the old school connoisseur Comet brings some classic vibes of pine and resin to keep everything balanced.

A truly eclectic mix of hops, and the perfect example of the eclectic mix that turns up at the kitchen disco.
