Brew York: Poisoned Chalice Best Bitter (440ml)

Introducing Poisoned Chalice, brewed in collaboration with York Minster to mark the 800th anniversary of Saint William of York. Inspired by the legend of Saint William’s alleged poisoning from a chalice during Mass, this commemorative best bitter offers a far more enjoyable ending. A crisp, balanced traditional best bitter, it combines toasty malt, gentle caramel sweetness and Brew York’s hallmark hoppy character. Part of the Minster’s 2026 Crafting a Legacy celebrations, Poisoned Chalice honours York’s rich artisan heritage – from medieval craftsmen to modern craft brewers. A beer rooted in history, brewed for today.
